This is a themed diner that's stuck to its theme. America in its golden years polished and brought into this generation is what it is.
We, Feeding Curiosities, assume that Sam's from the diner's name refers to America because, well, one look at the interior would give that one away.
On the walls, you'd see pin-up girls, Hepburn, and a lot of Presley. It's not just the decorations that give off the feel of old America, the music they play in there is always reminiscent of those black and white movies from the 40's and those pin-up girls of the 50's.
On to their food... being a diner, you'd expect the greasy kind of diner food, right? That, however, is just not the case with Sam's. Here are our two favorite dishes:
Burger steak with egg (95 php) |
Bibimbap (140 php) |
Their steak has got to be one of those things in life that you can't have too much of. Topped with sloppy, fattening gravy on a sizzling platter, it's a complete treat. We guarantee you that once you get a taste of this bad boy, you're sure to come back for more.
Surprising, it may be, but they have Korean food in their menu as well. Their Bibimbap is another thing that keeps us coming back.
When you go to Sam's, get their Sam's special iced tea. We don't know what it is about it that makes it so special or so good. It looks like your ordinary iced tea but it sure doesn't taste like it. It could be a special potion from a Harry Potter book, we can't tell for sure.
If you're in a big rush, though, we'd advise you to look for somewhere else to eat because they don't get your food ready in record time, unlike how diners most likely would.
Nighttime at Sam's is red. We're not exaggerating, it really is. Red lights- red everything.
