Chosun Chicken

Amazing food and students' budgets are two things that don't go well with each other... and then there's Chosun Chicken.

Located in a corner of the second level of Mango Square mall, it looks a little dodgy and a lot suspicious- what with the lighting or the lack of it. Nevertheless, it was a peaceful kind of dark lighting because they have little separate rooms which would be perfect for dates and the like. Unfortunately, we, the Feeding Curiosities team, are awkward critters and dates are alien to us. This is us trying to say that it's okay to have meals with a date feel with friends and family!

A zoomed-in view of the wall beside the table:
Those things say that they have the best chicken in Cebu. We had to make sure that they weren't just full of themselves so we all ordered their talked-about Chosun chicken.

Their proudly-plastered posters aren't for nothing. Their chicken has got to be one of the best we've had in the city. It comes with rice, a side of coleslaw, and a special sauce which amplifies how good it tastes. They don't have the biggest cuts but for a 90php dish, it's more than worth it.

As it's a Korean place, one of us got ramyu
To say it was "spicy" is putting it gently because it was the kind of spicy that gives you runny nose and leaves your lips feeling sore. If spicy food is your thing, we definitely recommend this. It comes in a bowl big enough to share between 2 persons. Their ramyu comes with a side of kimchi. We love kimchi. Kimchi is good. Kimchi is the Bellatrix Lestrange of side dishes. We could go on and on about kimchi. Chosun chicken's kimchi was good.

Chosun Chicken doesn't have the best service crew or the best-smelling restaurant (it smells a little weird, we think it's the coleslaw that causes it) but they adhere to the two most valuable rules of the service industry:
